Job Description
We are looking for a highly competent Accounts Assistant to assist the Finance Team at our busy Northern Ireland office. The role will involve engagement with our NI Finance and Commercial team covering all aspects of the finance function.
This is a 12-month maternity cover contract. If you are looking for a challenge, this role is for you!

Sales Ledger Support
- Management of credit control duties
- Recording customer receipts
- Maintenance of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
- Preparation of monthly direct debits
- Issuing of customer statements

Stock Purchase Ledger
- Processing and recording purchase orders
- Tracking shipping and receipt details
- Overseeing orders from key suppliers and intercompany movements

Non-Stock Purchase Ledger
- Recording purchase invoices received
- Liaising with budget holders for approvals
- Processing and coding invoices
- Maintaining the purchase order system
- Managing monthly payment runs
- Dealing with supplier queries

Monthly Recharges
- Collation of monthly recharges for submission to relevant brand owners

Reporting
- Creation of daily and month-end reports, including:
- Daily Sales
- FOC (Free of Charge) Report
- Depletion Reports
- Stock Reports
- Debtors Reports
- Ensuring reconciliation of monthly accounts

Invoice & Cash Flow Management
- Ensuring invoice financing declarations are made daily and monthly
- Processing payments and drawdowns to manage cash flow

Collaborative Support
- Working closely with management, logistics partners, and the sales team
- Supporting the adequacy of accounting internal controls and compliance

Financial Reporting
- Assisting the Finance Director & Finance Manager in preparing:
- Monthly management accounts
- Annual statutory accounts
- Assisting the Finance Director & Finance Manager in preparing:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Ambitious individual with an excellent work ethic and first-rate communication skills
- Thrives in a busy environment and is a fast learner
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach, especially when supporting the team
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Accounts team, with at least one year in a senior role
- Part-qualified or IATI (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland) trained is preferable
