An integral role in a high-performing department supporting our growing business.

Situated in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters, The Ned houses Ned’s Club, a private members’ space, gym and rooftop, alongside a public spa, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

What’s the role?

Senior Accounts Payable at The Ned City of London

Where will you be working?

We’re looking for a motivated and commercially aware Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for the efficient and accurate management of the hotel’s accounts payable function, ensuring effective invoice management and a hunger to learn.

Collaborating with the Purchasing, Finance and Operational teams, the role ensures strong financial controls are maintained across the purchase-to-pay process whilst delivering excellent supplier relationships and supporting the timely production of financial information.

This Senior Accounts Payable role will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the hotel's cost reporting, supporting month-end activities, and driving continuous improvements within the Accounts Payable function.

Where are we located?

We’re in the beautiful old Midland Bank building in the City of London. Based on site in the Finance Office, we’re five days a week in the office, as we’re relationship-focussed and it’s just not the same on a screen.

What will you be doing?

  • Take ownership of the hotel’s end-to-end Accounts Payable function, ensuring accuracy, control, and efficiency across all processes.
  • Act as the department expert for Adaco and Yooz, driving best practice in invoice processing, approvals, and system utilisation.
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are accurately coded to the correct general ledger accounts and cost centres.
  • Prepare and process supplier payment runs in line with agreed schedules and payment terms.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and the aged creditors ledger, proactively investigating and resolving outstanding items within agreed timescales.
  • Manage supplier queries and build strong, professional relationships, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Support the month-end close process, including accruals, Accounts Payable reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity.
  • Provide analysis, reporting, and commentary on creditor balances, while maintaining the fixed asset register and supporting Capex reporting.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across Finance and Operations, proactively identifying improvements, leading training initiatives, and driving continuous process enhancement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
