About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Aquaculture Scheme Manager to lead the global delivery, performance, and growth of our aquaculture certification schemes.
This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for scheme performance, team management, financial delivery, and client engagement. You will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality certification delivery while driving operational excellence and business growth across a global portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Scheme Delivery
- Own the end-to-end performance of global aquaculture certification schemes (e.g. ASC, BAP, GlobalG.A.P.)
- Ensure audits, certification decisions, and technical reviews are delivered on time and to the highest standards
- Drive consistency and quality across all regions
Manage and Develop Teams
- Lead and develop a team of Scheme Managers and Coordinators
- Set clear performance objectives aligned to delivery and commercial targets
- Drive accountability, workload balance, and operational discipline
- Build a high-performing, globally aligned delivery team

Ensure Technical Excellence
- Maintain strong expertise in aquaculture standards and accreditation requirements
- Oversee auditor performance, calibration, and technical reviews
- Ensure full compliance with certification bodies and regulatory expectations
Own Financial Performance
- Manage revenue, costs, and margins across schemes
- Deliver accurate forecasting and performance tracking
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve profitability
Drive Growth and Client Impact
- Partner with commercial teams to support sales, tenders, and proposals
- Identify growth opportunities within existing and new clients
- Contribute directly to revenue growth and pipeline conversion
Plan and Optimise Delivery
- Lead demand forecasting and resource planning globally
- Ensure alignment between capacity and audit demand
- Proactively manage delivery risks and bottlenecks
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with scheme owners, accreditation bodies, and key clients
- Act as a senior escalation point for technical and operational matters
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing certification schemes within aquaculture & seafood
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop global teams
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Deep understanding of certification standards and accreditation frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate globally, balancing technical, operational, and commercial priorities
