Senior Administrator

Senior Administrator / Junior Paraplanner

Location: Sawbridgeworth/Bishop’s Stortford (Hybrid available for the right candidate)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Permanent (following a successful probation period)
Hours: Full-Time (or part time for the right candidate)

Job Overview

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Junior Paraplanner / Senior Administrator to join our friendly financial planning team. This is a varied role providing essential administrative and technical support to our Financial Adviser, helping to deliver an excellent client experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with the adviser and admin team throughout the client journey, supporting new business, ongoing servicing, and general office administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the firm's CRM system accurately and efficiently.
  • Act as a first point of contact for clients, handling telephone calls and email enquiries professionally.
  • Liaise with clients, providers, and third parties to obtain information and provide updates.
  • Log and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation.
  • Chase providers for outstanding information, valuations, and policy updates.
  • Prepare and send documentation to clients and providers.
  • Generate product illustrations and quotations.
  • Submit new business applications and monitor progress through to completion.
  • Complete annual review letters and prepare documentation for client review meetings.
  • Complete Suitability Letters for investment and pension recommendations.
  • Provide ongoing administrative and technical support to the Financial Adviser.
  • Ensure all client files and records remain accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with general office administration and support the wider team as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within a St James’s Place Practice or independent financial adviser (IFA) environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Good understanding of financial services administration and client servicing processes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of pensions, investments, and protection products would be advantageous.
  • Working towards, or interested in progressing into, paraplanning would be beneficial but is not essential.
