Senior Administrator (Operations, Compliance & Customer Support) – Romsley, UK
Location: Romsley, United Kingdom
Salary: £16,000 to £18,000 per annum (part-time, 25 hours per week)
Working Pattern: Office-based, 25 hours per week
Contract: Part-Time, Permanent
Reports To: Founders / Directors
About the Role
Our client is a UK-based iGaming startup building its operational backbone from the ground up, and they are looking for a highly organised Senior Administrator (Operations, Compliance & Customer Support) to join them in Romsley. This is a foundational hire. You will work directly with the founders to help design, build, and scale the core functions that keep a regulated online betting business running cleanly, from finance and customer support through to safer gambling and anti-money laundering controls.
This Senior Administrator role in Romsley is genuinely hands-on. You will not simply maintain existing processes, you will help create them. On any given day you might be setting up a customer support workflow, reviewing customer due diligence documentation, logging a safer gambling intervention, or preparing a weekly reporting pack for the directors. It suits someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and wants to see the direct impact of their work as the company grows in a compliant and structured way.
Success in this Senior Administrator position means the company has reliable admin and reporting processes, a functioning customer support operation, documented safer gambling and AML workflows, and clear weekly reporting to the directors within the first six to twelve months. If you want to shape how an iGaming business operates day to day, this is a rare opportunity to do exactly that.
Key Responsibilities
- You will build and manage core administrative processes across the business, supporting the directors with day-to-day operational coordination and maintaining accurate internal records, logs, and audit trails.
- As the team grows, you will assist with hiring coordination and onboarding, and help develop internal policies, standard operating procedures, and process documentation that the wider team can rely on.
- A significant part of the role sits within customer support and player interaction. You will help set up and run the customer support function, handling customer queries by email, chat, and phone where required. You will also conduct outbound customer calls where necessary, including conversations relating to compliance and safer gambling, always with a focus on a high standard of customer experience that meets regulatory expectations.
- Safer gambling and compliance support is central to this Senior Administrator role. You will assist in monitoring and managing safer gambling alerts and triggers, support customer interactions relating to responsible gambling, and maintain accurate logs of interventions, restrictions, and customer communications. You will also assist with affordability checks and customer reviews, working closely with compliance leadership to ensure adherence to UK Gambling Commission expectations.
- On the financial crime side, you will perform and support Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks, review customer documentation such as identification and source of funds, and monitor and escalate suspicious activity to senior management or the MLRO. Maintaining accurate AML records and case files, and supporting the ongoing monitoring of higher-risk customers, will be part of your regular workload.
- You will also own reporting and data management, producing daily and weekly internal reports across finance, customer activity, safer gambling interactions, and AML and compliance metrics. You will support the development of dashboards and reporting frameworks, and help ensure data accuracy and consistency for regulatory reporting.
- Finally, you will help design and implement customer support workflows, safer gambling processes, and AML procedures, acting as a key operational bridge between the directors and the growing team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
