About the Role
We are recruiting a Senior Administrator - Pre-operative Assessment Service who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
These roles will form part of the pre-operative surgical team, proactively contacting patients in advance of surgery through the Waiting Well initiative. The postholders will work closely with waiting list teams, POA nurses, and administrative colleagues to ensure patients are clinically and administratively ready for surgery and appropriately scheduled.
As a member of our team, you will provide a quality service that supports our high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments, reception, and serve as a reference for staff and patients.
- Develop yourself and junior colleagues.
- Cross site working between New QEII and Lister will be essential.
Service hours are Monday to Friday 0800-1800 hrs and Saturday 0800-1300.

Key Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the administrative organisation of the service.
- Support the Senior Nurse in coordinating patient flow, progressing, and maintaining high service standards.
- Work according to their experience and competence, with some responsibility for decision-making. However, direct supervision will be provided when required for unfamiliar work.
