Join us as a Senior Administrator at our Pendine site. You will work with cutting-edge technology while collaborating with some of the sharpest minds in the industry.


Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Administrator, you’ll serve as the operational backbone of the site, ensuring that administrative, compliance, and coordination activities flourish seamlessly.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Managing records and documentation—data entry, filing, archiving, retrieval, and secure destruction (aligned with corporate policies)
  • Delivering high-quality administrative support with discretion, initiative, and sound judgement
  • Supporting site leadership and teams with financial operations—budget control, Oracle rollout, Ariba purchasing, and general administrative assistance
  • Coordinating events, communications, and visits—including complex site visits, corporate responsibility initiatives, and internal engagement activities
  • Upholding site compliance and operational standards (security processes, document registration, and archive management)
  • Supporting site and facilities operations—reception duties, acting as Fire Warden/Facility Manager if required, and deputising for the Team Leader when necessary

Essential Experience

  • Substantial business administration experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—able to engage confidently across all levels
  • Proactive and self-motivated—capable of using initiative, making independent decisions in non-standard situations
  • Highly organised and skilled at multitasking with competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various information systems
  • Ability to support team development—training others, running meetings, and producing accurate meeting minutes

Employment Terms

  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: On-site at Pendine (South Wales), with a five-day workload commitment

About the Pendine Site

The QinetiQ Pendine facility is the UK’s foremost centre for evaluating defence systems, specialising in testing weapons and vehicle performance. It underpins critical military capability, ensuring safety and effectiveness in new defence hardware development.
