Job Description

Role Overview

To ensure that the booking process for patients on the elective waiting list is followed within the agreed timeframe and process.

  • To enter agreed surgery dates onto EPR system, this may include cancelling and re arranging surgery dates.
  • Arranging and booking Pre-Operative assessment appointments.
  • Provide an efficient, polite and compassionate service to patients and service users regarding booking appointments and surgery dates.
  • To deal with all calls to the admissions office regarding admission dates.
  • To provide administrative support to Pre-Operative assessment.
  • To deputise for the Gynaecology Inpatient Waiting List Manager and directly support during peak activity.

Key Responsibilities

Working Conditions

The post holder will be expected to work unsupervised and on their own initiative as well as working as part of a team including clinical, management and clerical staff.
