Senior Solutions Engineer (gTech Ads Platforms Engineering) - Minimum & Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- 6 years of experience in systems design or coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python)
- Experience working with internal or external tech stack used by gTech Ads, including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, PLX
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- 3 years of experience with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
- Experience with cloud technologies, including architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualised environments or cloud data engineering
- Experience in analytical roles such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics
- Experience using machine learning and building scalable solutions

About the Role
gTech Ads provides media and technical services for customers, big and small, across the entire Ad products stack. We help maximise the value of our Ad and Publisher products through support, guidance, and customisable solutions, ranging from:
- Self-help and in-product support
- Account setup and ad campaign implementation
- Media and consultative solutions for large customers, including best-practice tools, bespoke scaling solutions, and cross-regional expertise
- Technical and measurement solutions that drive ROI with Google’s products
As a cross-functional and global team, we engage with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance our offerings, ensuring customers receive maximum value from Google services while positioning gTech as a trusted partner.
The Platforms Engineering team designs and develops the technical foundations for Ads Solutions Engineering and regional teams, enabling seamless delivery of customer-centric solutions.
This critical role focuses on global solutioning and scaling, collaborating with stakeholders, product teams, and specialists to redefine gTech Ads’ market approach. You’ll set bold technical goals, streamline solutions, and empower teams across the organisation.

Responsibilities
- Collect requirements and provide guidance on adopting best practices for ad products and technologies
- Scope, design, and build globally reusable solutions for customers, sellers, and partners, supporting global adoption
- Apply engineering expertise to refactor regional bespoke ads solutions into globally scalable systems accommodating thousands of users
- Own the solution lifecycle: from requirements, development, and launch to maintenance, bug fixes, feature updates, and deprecation for a portfolio of solutions
