The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our US/UK Cross-Border team as a Tax Senior. You’ll serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, managing the preparation and review of their US and/or UK tax returns. You’ll collaborate closely with managers and partners, identifying tax planning opportunities, and ensuring compliance excellence. This role offers the chance to handle a diverse and often complex client portfolio while building your technical and leadership skills within a supportive and high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Tax Senior, you will:
- Manage an allocated client portfolio, taking ownership of the full compliance process and delegating tasks effectively.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of your clients’ affairs, becoming their main point of contact.
- Identify potential issues and planning opportunities, discussing these with senior colleagues.
- Contribute to consultancy and research projects as opportunities arise.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and apply it effectively in reviews.
- Proactively identify internal training needs for yourself and the wider team.
- Liaise with third-party professionals including solicitors, accountants, tax advisers, and financial advisers.
- Develop people management and coaching skills.
- Undertake other duties as required.

Skills And Qualifications
We’re looking for a motivated professional with:
- ATT qualification, and ideally US tax certification (e.g., Enrolled Agent or CPA). A CTA qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in a similar role within professional practice.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex US and/or UK tax returns.
- Excellent client service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of key tax legislation and statutory requirements.
- An awareness of corporate tax and tax planning is advantageous.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
