Senior AI Engineer
London / Remote UK £90,000 - £140,000 + Equity
We're working with a venture-backed AI startup operating in stealth mode, building autonomous systems capable of executing high-value business workflows with minimal human intervention.
Backed by leading investors and founded by experienced operators from AI research and high-growth technology businesses, the company is developing next-generation agent architectures that combine reasoning, planning, retrieval, memory, and tool use to solve complex enterprise problems.

As one of the early AI Engineering hires, you'll help design and build the core intelligence layer powering the product.

You'll work across:
- Agent frameworks and orchestration systems
- LLM evaluation and benchmarking
- Retrieval and knowledge systems
- Model optimisation and inference
- AI product development
- Scalable backend infrastructure
What You'll Need
- Strong software engineering experience in Python
- Commercial experience building AI or ML products
- Experience with LLMs, RAG, agents, evaluation frameworks, or fine-tuning
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment

- Experience with multi-agent systems
- MLOps or platform engineering experience
