About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to join our Workday Practice at Kainos. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a bridge between data science and software engineering, focusing on deploying and maintaining AI and machine learning solutions within enterprise environments. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with data scientists, software developers, and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient AI-driven features that enhance our Workday offerings. You will play a crucial role in integrating AI models into production systems, optimizing their performance, and ensuring their ongoing stability and effectiveness. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of enterprise AI solutions and contribute to transformative digital products that impact millions of users globally.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, practical experience, and a collaborative mindset. Essential qualifications include proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code suitable for production environments. Hands-on experience deploying AI and machine learning models to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is required, along with a solid understanding of MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, and monitoring. Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is also essential. Candidates should have a background in data engineering, capable of building data pipelines, wrangling data, and integrating AI solutions with enterprise data systems. Experience working within agile teams and strong communication skills are highly valued. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related fields, along with experience in Workday APIs, generative AI, deep learning techniques, and active participation in industry knowledge-sharing activities.

Responsibilities
As a Senior AI Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of technical and collaborative tasks. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning models, ensuring they are optimized for production use. Collaborating with data scientists, you will translate research prototypes into robust solutions, integrating them seamlessly into existing systems.
