Senior AI Software Engineer - Personalisation & Recommendation Systems
About the Role
Bally’s Intralot is a leading global iGaming operator and lottery solutions provider, combining INTRALOT and Bally’s International Interactive. Positioned at the intersection of technology, regulation, and entertainment, we deliver innovative online gaming, lottery, iLottery, and sports betting solutions—capitalising on digital adoption and regulatory growth.
You’ll join a team revolutionising player experiences through AI innovation. Collaborating with AI researchers and engineering experts, you’ll take validated concepts, refine them, and deliver cutting-edge, production-ready features. This is a senior, hands-on role with full ownership—ultimately shaping how technology enhances our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform R&D prototypes and verified AI concepts into production-grade systems:
- Build hardened, tested, observable, and maintainable solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain real-time systems for personalisation, recommendations, search, and ranking, handling live traffic under latency constraints.
- Enforce rigorous engineering standards across AWS and TypeScript:
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability, and **testing`.
- Act as a critical bridge between R&D teams, product managers, data analysts, and Staff Engineers, aligning experimental work with production discipline.
Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years in commercial software engineering, with deep expertise in TypeScript and pragmatic knowledge of Python.
- Proven track record delivering AI/ML-driven features in production, including:
- Recommendation engines
- Search and ranking systems
- LLM-powered applications
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native applications on AWS, covering:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Infrastructure as code
- Production-grade monitoring
- Strong background in high-performance, real-time systems, specialising in scalability, reliability, and low-latency solutions.
- Proven ability to measure and evaluate AI model performance, using experimentation and data-driven iteration.
