Senior AI Engineer
Mission Statement & Summary
We’re hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design and deliver AI systems across the business.
This is a hands-on role focused on building production-grade solutions using LLMs and agentic systems, embedding AI directly into core business processes rather than building isolated prototypes. You’ll take high-value problems and turn them into scalable, reliable systems used in real workflows, driving measurable business outcomes.
You’ll contribute significantly to technical direction, architecture, and implementation, translating defined business priorities into robust, production-ready systems. You’ll make key technical contributions and work hands-on alongside engineers to deliver solutions that are reused, scalable, and built for long-term impact.
How You’ll Contribute
- Design and implement AI systems end-to-end, contributing to technical direction and architecture
- Build LLM-powered and agent-based solutions from concept through to production
- Contribute to engineering standards, patterns, and reusable components across use cases
- Make informed technical decisions on models, tooling, infrastructure, and system design within agreed architectural direction
- Ensure systems are robust, observable, and production-ready (evaluation, monitoring, guardrails)
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers contributing to AI initiatives

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
