Role: Senior Software Engineer (Python & GenAI)
Responsibilities
As a tech-savvy AI software craftsman, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting new solutions, using LLM (Large Language Models) to improve the user experience in our warehouse management product.
You will:
- Design, develop & maintain AI-driven solutions using Python, LLM frameworks, APIs, and modern AI tooling
- Build and evolve generative AI and agentic systems, including:
- Architecture design
- Technical specifications
- Design reviews
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable AI solutions
- Deliver high-quality code with unit- and integration-tested components, following best practices and Agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban
- Contribute to feature estimation, system enhancements, and continuous optimisation of algorithms and AI performance
- Work in a fast-paced, agile environment, taking ownership beyond your core scope and supporting broader team initiatives
- Daily stand ups, sprint retro, and Scrum tactics are part of the routine
Requirements
Technical Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in software engineering with strong Python skills
- Hands-on expertise with AI/GenAI (including LangChain, Google ADK, LLMs, agentic systems)
- Practical experience building and deploying AI solutions, such as:
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), embeddings, fine-tuning, AI APIs, web services
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and experience with vector DBs
- Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, microservices
- Familiarity with CI/CD (Azure DevOps), testing (unit/integration), Git, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and common development tools (VS Code, PyCharm)
Mindset & Collaboration
- Solid analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Prompt engineering expertise and understanding of responsible AI (mitigating bias/safety risks)
- Strong communication & collaboration skills; mentoring experience is a plus
- Agile mindset; domain exposure in retail, logistics, or supply chain is an advantage

Key Requirements
Competency-Based:
- 5+ years of software expertise with Python (advanced scripting, DSA + AI/GenAI focus).
- Hands-on experience deploying AI solutions:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM adaptation (LangChain/Vertex AI/Hugging Face).
- Fine-tuning LLMs and managing via Generation Foundation Servers.
- Write fault-tolerant, high-throughput services leveraging CSV/API scalability.
- Data & Backend Proficiency:
- PostgreSQL, vector DBs (Pinecone/ChromaDB), real-time analytics and vitol AI ensemble reliability.
- Microservices and reverse-proxied job queues (Celery/Kafka).
- DevOps Pipeline Mastery:
- CI/CD (DevOps Azure Platform), unit/integration tests, Docker/Kubernetes tooling.
- Awareness of TypeScript/Java for cross-stack integrations.
- Problem-Solving & Domain Understanding:
- LLM safety standards/procedures, refined prompt engineering.
- Supply-chain logistics presence; retail-teambrush-ups preferred.
