Senior AI Legal Engineer

Senior AI Legal Engineer

Location: UK, Remote

We are expanding our team with a fast-growing legal technology business, hiring a Senior AI Legal Engineer to assist enterprise legal teams in constructing AI-native legal functions. This role isn’t a traditional legal counsel position—it sits at the intersection of legal expertise, AI, legal operations, consulting, and product strategy.

You’ll work closely with senior legal stakeholders, including Heads of Legal, General Counsels, procurement teams, and legal operations leaders, to guide them in:

  • Redesigning business processes
  • Operating model development
  • Embedding AI into legal workflows

The ideal candidate will blend strong legal foundation knowledge, preferably with post-qualification experience, and the ability to build credibility with enterprise clients. They must grasp how commercial contracts are drafted, negotiated, reviewed, and managed, while translating customer challenges into scalable AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise enterprise legal teams on constructing AI-native legal functions.
  • Help customers with legal operating model design, process improvement, and workflow optimisation.
  • Identify bottlenecks in critical workflows, including:
    • Contract review
    • Negotiation
    • Approval processes
    • Knowledge management
  • Convert legal and commercial pain points into scalable, productised AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers to challenge legacy processes and propose industry best practices.
  • Ensure seamless partnership between product and implementation teams to deliver practical, legally robust, and commercially relevant solutions.
  • Engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including: General Counsels, Heads of Legal, procurement managers, and commercial leaders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
