About bunny.net

Some people accept the internet as it is. We see what it could be.

At bunny.net, we don’t wait for change. We make it happen. You won’t find layers of red tape or play-it-safe thinking here. You’ll find people who move quickly, take ownership, and push ideas all the way to the edge. Literally.

You’ll build things that solve actual problems, not add to them.

We’re not perfect, and we don’t pretend to be. But we’re always improving. We’re looking for people who want to do the same, who take pride in their work, and aren’t afraid to challenge what’s possible.

Because everyone deserves a better internet. And we’re here to help it hop faster.

Senior AI Security Engineer

AI agents are changing how software gets built, deployed, and operated. They also introduce an entirely new attack surface: prompt injection, secret exfiltration, escalation paths, and insider threat amplification. Most organizations are adopting agents faster than they’re securing them. We’re building the products that fix that.

bunny.net is building a new product line focused on AI security: giving customers the infrastructure to route, observe, and control AI traffic at the edge, and the security layer to protect against the threats that come with agent adoption. Detection, prevention, access enforcement, and visibility into what AI systems are actually doing.

This role sits at the center of that effort. You'll join the AI team as one of its first members, helping define the security models, controls, and products that help customers safely adopt AI at scale. You'll do it as part of an AI-native team, building, testing, and shipping through AI agents every day rather than writing code by hand.

The challenges are real, the playbook is still being written, and many of the best practices haven't been established yet. You'll help define them.

What will you do?

  • Help design the security architecture behind bunny.net's AI security products: the threat models, detection systems, access controls, and enforcement policies that protect customers from AI-era attacks
  • Build core security capabilities, including prompt injection detection, secret protection, agent auditing, and access enforcement
  • Work with Product and AI leadership to identify the threats that matter most and decide what to build next
  • Build security products on bunny.net's global edge network, bringing AI security to a globally distributed platform operating at massive scale
  • Help secure bunny.net's internal AI platform and apply those learnings to customer-facing products

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll bring deep engineering experience, an AI-native way of working, and a hands-on understanding of where agents break, meaning:

  • 7+ years building and architecting complex production systems
  • Background in application security, infrastructure security, or both
  • AI-native workflow, meaning you build alongside AI agents every day and know how to turn their output into production-ready systems
  • Senior-level software architecture skills, including thinking in trust boundaries, failure modes, and system-level risk, not just features
  • Experience with the failure modes and guardrails of agent-driven development and how to mitigate them

What will make us extra happy?

  • Deep understanding of how agents change the attack surface: prompt injection, secret exfiltration, escalation paths, insider threat amplification
  • Experience building security products such as WAFs, API gateways, or threat detection systems
  • Experience using AI and agents to build or improve production security tooling
  • Familiarity with edge computing, CDN infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems

Where should you be located?
