This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AI Solution Architect based in United Kingdom.
As a Senior AI Solution Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of advanced AI-powered solutions that transform complex enterprise environments.
You will define scalable architectures, guide technical strategy, and ensure AI systems are secure, reliable, and production-ready.
The role combines deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, AI platforms, and modern software engineering practices.
You will collaborate with business leaders, engineering teams, and technical stakeholders to shape innovative digital experiences.
Your work will focus on designing intelligent systems, agentic AI workflows, and data-driven solutions that create measurable business impact.
This is an opportunity to influence large-scale transformation initiatives while working at the intersection of AI innovation, security, and enterprise technology.
Accountabilities:
- In this role, you will own the architecture vision and technical direction for complex AI-driven solutions, ensuring alignment between business objectives, engineering capabilities, and long-term scalability.
- Act as a trusted technical leader, driving architecture decisions, governance, and implementation standards across multidisciplinary teams.
- Create and maintain comprehensive architecture blueprints, system designs, data flow models, component structures, and API specifications across multiple delivery teams.
- Define, document, and defend key architectural decisions while evaluating technical constraints, risks, and long-term impacts.
- Lead architecture reviews with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure consistency, scalability, and technical alignment.
- Design AI and agentic system architectures, including LLM orchestration, multi-agent workflows, routing strategies, memory management, and context handling.
- Architect retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions, including vector databases, embedding pipelines, retrieval strategies, and real-time data integrations.
- Optimize AI systems by overseeing model selection, performance improvements, latency management, fallback strategies, and evaluation frameworks.
- Design modernization strategies for complex enterprise systems, including API enablement, legacy system transformation, and event-driven integrations.
- Establish secure and compliant AI architectures through threat modeling, auditability, governance frameworks, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Define cloud, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and security patterns that support scalable and cost-efficient AI operations.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including technology leaders and enterprise architecture teams, to build confidence in proposed solutions.
- Mentor technical teams and contribute to improving architectural practices, engineering quality, and innovation capabilities.

Requirements:
- Experienced technology leader with a strong background in enterprise architecture, AI systems, cloud platforms, and secure software delivery.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise architecture, designing and delivering large-scale technology programs.
- Strong knowledge of architecture patterns including microservices, event-driven architectures, CQRS, saga orchestration, and distributed systems.
- 5+ years of experience in banking, fintech, or financial technology architecture environments.
- Deep understanding of financial platforms, payment systems, fraud prevention, AML processes, and enterprise integrations.
- 3+ years of experience designing and operating production-grade AI/ML or LLM-based systems.
- Expert understanding of RAG architectures, AI agent workflows, tool calling frameworks, and AI system evaluation approaches.
- Strong experience with cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform/CDK, and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Strong understanding of security principles including zero-trust architectures, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, mTLS, identity management, and secure API design.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical decisions.
- Experience with AI-assisted development approaches and emerging AI technologies.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or TOGAF are valued.
- Experience with regional financial compliance frameworks or mobile technology ecosystems is considered an advantage.
