ERP Transformation Consultant (SAP-enabled Programmes) – BCG Platinion
About the Role
The ERP Transformation Consultant will partner with clients to navigate their most complex digital transformations, specialising in source-to-pay, ERP implementation strategy, business case development, and programme management. You’ll guide organisations through the full SAP-enabled transformation lifecycle, driving value realisation while ensuring technology aligns with business imperatives—from strategy and roadmap creation to implementation and optimisation.
Responsibilities
Ensure delivery excellence and business alignment across large, multi-faceted ERP programmes with end-to-end accountability:

Strategic Programme Management
- Establish and run governance structures, de-risking complex transformations and ensuring alignment with business outcomes
- Champion programme excellence, balancing ambition with pragmatism

Business Case & Value Realisation
- Develop and champion robust business cases, directly linking technology investments to tangible ROI and operational improvements
- Monitor ongoing KPIs to track seen and unseen benefits across entire programmes

Methodology Leadership
- Apply SAP Activate, Agile transformation frameworks, and industry best practices for:
- Template management, release schedules, and configuration governances
- Process modelling (from end-to-end value chains: Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Hire-to-Retire)

End-to-End Process Integration
- Design, optimise, and govern integrated SAP LoB processes, ensuring seamless workflows across finance, supply chain, procurement and beyond.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary cross-client interface to executives and functional team leaders, driving alignment and shaping transformational decisions

Team Leadership
- Direct delivery teams (hybrid BFDP, vendor, and Geographic resources) across highly complex 4-6 figure ERP projects
Your Profile
Essential Requirements
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in ERP transformations (with a minimum of 5 transformational implementations).
- Experience from either:
- Tier 1 / Tier 2 strategy consulting firm (e.g., BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, PwC).
- A major IT services or systems integrator, leading end-to-end delivery of enterprise-shot ERP deployments.
- Proven track record in ownership of multiple ERP modules/workstreams from planning through go-live and stabilisation.
- Deep functional SAP knowledge across relevant business units (e.g. Finance/MM/MM-SD, Procurement, HCM), with working knowledge of cross-module integrations and interface management.
- Expertise in go-to-market financial analysis and business case development, with clear metrics for value realisation.
- Experience using AI/low code/cloud tools to accelerate design, testing, reporting, and PMO support.
- Awareness of AI/ML use cases in ERP environments (analytical reports, automation, copilots, predictive maintenance).
- Familiarity with both large-scale phased and Agile transformation methodologies.

Desirable Qualifications
- Degree in STEM, Business Management, or Art-related discipline (MBA, MSc, or PhD preferred for senior hires).
- Technical certifications related to SAP applications or additional cloud tool expertise.
