We support clients’ total digital transformation through expertise in technology, design, cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering. In collaboration with BCG’s broad range of consultants, we deliver custom,Made-to-Order technical solutions that accelerate delivery and create value—whether through new business platforms, application consolidations, or major system implementations.
What You’ll Do
We are seeking Consultants experienced in delivering technology transformation programmes, particularly within the UK public sector (NHS, Government, MOD, MOJ, Local/Government, Central Government). You will bring expertise in:
- Systems implementation (functionality & technical design)
- Data migration, testing, and post-go-live support
- Oracle Cloud HCM modules, including:
- Core HR
- Payroll
- Talent Management
- Recruitment
- Oracle ME and related technologies
In this Senior AI Tech Consultant role, you will:
- Drive meaningful change across the UK public sector as part of BCG’s Public Sector Transformation team.
- Work at the intersection of strategy, technology, and impact, shaping the future of healthcare, central government, and public sector services.
- Solve complex challenges, from Oracle HCM transformations to data migrations, systems testing, and managed implementations.
- Deploy customised IT strategies, digital platforms, and architecture, leveraging AI, cloud computing, microservices, and containerisation.
- Manage risk, quality assurance, escalations, and client expectations.
- Adhere to agile methodologies and modern practices in strategic IT implementation.
- Support junior team members with training, mentorship, and leadership development.
- Help guide junior colleagues, client consultations, and relationship-building to identify new opportunities.

What You’ll Bring
We seek exceptional talent with proven expertise in technology consulting and transformation programmes. We’re looking for:
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in delivering large-scale technology transformations, especially in the UK public sector.
- Essential consulting experience focused on technology/business process Digital, and large-scale transformations.
- Hands-on expertise in end-to-end implementation, including testing and data migration, with a focus on Oracle HCM modules.
- Strong familiarity with public sector delivery frameworks, particularly in NHS or central government.
- Experience in technology/claimed delivery environments (Agile or hybrid).
- Analytical and strategic thinking – capable of working creatively and independently in problem-solving environments.
- Experience organising peer-led workshops and facilitating client meetings.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to break down technical challenges into business contexts.
- Technical fluency in:
- Oracle Cloud/Fusion HCM
- Oracle Data Warehouse (DWH)
- Oracle Modernisation Suite (ME)
- Oral and written communication skills, with a client-focused stance.
- Willingness to travel within the UK as required.
- A University degree with outstanding academic performance in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant field.
