About the Role
Join our Air Quality team as our new Senior Air Quality Consultant and support our mission to close the gap toward a sustainable future.
As part of this full-time role, you will:
- Provide air quality services for internal and external clients across industrial, residential, and commercial development projects.
- Assist in the mentorship and development of junior staff.
- Work on national and international projects, occasionally travelling for important engagements.
- Work within a flexible hybrid model, with options for a remote working day.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and manage air quality projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team or independently.
- Support the Air Quality Lead and ensure high-quality project execution.
- Upskill and support junior staff to enhance the team’s capacity.
- Stay updated on regulations, standards, and industry developments relevant to air quality assessments.
- Represent Ramboll’s air quality services to external stakeholders, including presentations and market-facing initiatives.
- Help win new projects by preparing technical proposals and contributing to the development of air quality services.
- Strengthen client relationships and support colleagues in helping our practice grow.
- Develop and implement new tools and techniques to improve service quality.

The Team
You’ll work within Ramboll’s Air Quality and Climate Department, supporting daily air quality assessments with guidance from senior colleagues. The UK Air Quality practice spans a variety of projects:
- Environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for major developments
- Large infrastructure schemes
- Urban developments
- Industrial emissions assessments (both for planning and permitting)
- Dust and odour nuisance assessments
- Monitoring projects
- International Environmental, Social, and Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA)
- Indoor air quality assessments
About You

Required Skills & Experience
- A demonstrable track record of delivering air quality assessments in the UK.
- Proficiency in Air Dispersion Models (e.g., ADMS, ADMS-Roads).
- Experience with GIS packages for data input and analysis.
- Strong ability to interpret environmental guidelines, policies, and legislation, applying them to projects effectively.
- Sound knowledge of UK air quality legal frameworks (both planning and permitting).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage workloads without close supervision.
- Full membership of the Institute of Air Quality Management.
