The Role
The Finance Systems Team supports core EMEA finance systems, including Aderant Sierra for timekeeping, billing, expenses, vendor management, tax, and reporting.
We are seeking a confident, proactive, and solutions-focused Senior Application Support Analyst with hands-on experience in Aderant systems and finance operations, to join our EMEA team.
This is a critical support role, providing vital assistance to finance operations and system users across the firm—including senior stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering day-to-day system support
- Leading process improvements, testing, and rollout of new users
Key Responsibilities
- User Support & Troubleshooting
- Assist all system users, including fee earners, secretaries, and finance staff.
- Respond to queries/technical issues effectively.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to minimise downtime.

Application Support & IT Collaboration
- Provide advanced technical support for financial systems, related SQL environments, customisations, and billings integrations.
- Oversee monthly/year-end transactional workflows and system health checks.

Systems Configuration & Administration
- Implement system enhancements and customisations as required.
- Administer Aderant Expert, iTimekeep, and BillBlast to ensure compliance and availability.

Process Improvement & Mentorship
- Identify system gaps and work closely with teams to propose optimisations (analysis, testing, deployment).
- Mentor junior team members and enhance team technical expertise.
Requirements
We seek a self-driven, results-oriented individual with finance/ERP system support experience and a strong commercial mindset.
Essential Skills & Experience
✔ Degree preferred or 5+ years in finance, IT support (ERP systems), or a related field. ✔ Ability to communicate technical details clearly across stakeholder levels (from juniors to senior executives). ✔ Excellent customer service under pressure (e.g., resolving complex support tickets). ✔ Proven technical troubleshooting skills, with experience in finance practice management systems (FPMS) or Aderant products. ✔ Advanced SQL proficiency (able to write and run queries independently). ✔ Familiarity with ITIL framework or similar, in a global/international organisation. ✔ Finance operations background (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting/reporting) – ideal. ✔ Proactive and solution-oriented, with adaptability.
