Senior Analyst / Associate - Data Centre Investments
Senior Analyst / Associate – Data Centre Investments £80-100k (depending on experience) + bonus
This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-value investment opportunities across the data centre and digital infrastructure sector – supporting acquisitions, developments, financing analysis, and strategic portfolio initiatives.
You will join a high-performing investment team at a market leading private equity investor in hyperscale data centres and digital infrastructure. The successful candidate will gain direct exposure to transactions, complex investment structures and senior decision makers from day one.
The Role Play a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities, supporting acquisitions, transaction execution, and contributing to strategic decision-making across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the Investment Team and collaborate with colleagues across development, finance, legal, and operations.
Key Responsibilities Build, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to evaluate data centre developments, acquisitions, and other investment opportunities. Support the end-to-end investment process, including due diligence, site screening, commercial analysis, and preparation of internal investment committee materials. Analyse potential new development sites, including assessment of power availability, connectivity, zoning, permitting, and construction costs. Prepare high-quality presentations, financial analysis, and investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and potential investors. Maintain and update internal financial and operational databases to support ongoing business planning and reporting. Support strategic initiatives, market research, portfolio analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis. Work cross-functionally with development, finance, legal, and operations teams to assess investment opportunities and support execution.

Skills and Experience 2–5 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, real estate investing or a similar high-paced investment environment. Strong financial modelling skills, including DCF analysis, leveraged buyout modelling, and sensitivity/scenario analysis. Experience analysing infrastructure, real estate, or energy assets; exposure to digital infrastructure or data centres would be highly advantageous. Strong track record of preparing professional-grade presentation materials for senior stakeholders. Solid understanding of key financial and operational metrics relevant to infrastructure or real assets. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Power BI, data analysis tools, and research platforms would be helpful.

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment. Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess and articulate risk/reward trade-offs.
Education and Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline from a leading institution. Progress toward or completion of CFA, ACA, or a Masters degree in Finance or similar professional qualification would be advantageous.
