Harnham are working with a growing UK fintech business that is looking to hire a Senior Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded professional who enjoys solving complex business problems and influencing decision-making through data.

The Role

As a Senior Analyst you will sit within a central analytics function, acting as an internal consultancy across the business. You will work with stakeholders across areas such as finance, customer operations, and marketing, turning complex data into actionable insights and supporting strategic decision-making.

Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Analysing large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Building reports, dashboards, and management information to support business performance.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Supporting data-driven strategy development and business decision-making.
  • Contributing to data quality, reporting improvements, and analytical best practices.
  • Helping prepare and structure data to support emerging AI and self-service analytics initiatives.

Skills and Experience

The successful Senior Analyst will have the following skills and experience:

  • Around 3+ years of experience within analytics, business intelligence, or a related data-focused role.
  • Strong SQL skills with current hands-on experience querying large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Experience working with complex or imperfect datasets and transforming them into valuable insights.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and influence non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into analytical solutions.
  • Exposure to Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms is advantageous.
  • STEM degree or equivalent quantitative background preferred.

Benefits

The successful Senior Analyst will receive a salary up to £70,000.
