Senior Analyst, M&A
Senior Analyst – M&A
We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our growing M&A team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of transactions, supporting both buy-side and sell-side mandates from origination through to completion within a growing team.
You’ll play a key role in deal execution, financial analysis and client delivery, working closely with senior stakeholders and gaining exposure to a wide range of sectors and transaction types.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including:
- Financial modelling and forecasting
- Valuation analysis (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, LBO)
- Support the execution of M&A transactions, including:
- Preparing teasers, information memorandum and management presentations
- Assisting in due diligence processes and data room management
- Coordinating transaction workstreams and managing timelines
- Develop and maintain three-statement financial models
- Undertake market and industry research to identify trends, risks, and strategic opportunities
- Support buyer identification and outreach processes, including preparing longlists and shortlists of strategic and financial investors
- Work closely with Partners on client projects, contributing to high-quality deliverables and presentations
- Build strong internal relationships across the broader BTG network to support cross-service opportunities

About You
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in M&A / Investment Banking or transaction services
- Demonstrates an understanding of financial statements, the merger & acquisition process, and company valuation techniques
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to distil complex information clearly for clients and stakeholders
- Well-organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong desire to develop within M&A
- Flexibility to travel, as needed
