Job Title: Senior Analyst EMEA Power Markets

What you’ll do (the role) Summary The Power Markets, Europe team at LSbp develops and manages revenue strategies for the company's solar and storage projects across Europe. As a Power Markets Analyst, you'd support market analysis, financial modelling, route-to-market strategy, and price structuring whilst building expertise in renewable energy commercialisation, including PPA structures, subsidies, and merchant trading strategies. You will also support the global power markets functional reporting activities. Responsibilities of the Role

Market & Regulatory Analysis: Own day-to-day power market reporting; deliver insights to support marketing; manage market data access; produce presentations on market developments, imbalance exposure, and new opportunities; provide quarterly price forecasts and project-specific impact analysis. Pricing & PPAs: Own PPA and auction pricing processes; model pricing options; translate project value drivers into offtake strategies Financial Modelling: Support client and senior management engagements; ensure consistency and accuracy of power market assumptions across models. Government Auctions: Analyse auction opportunities and support bidding strategy development. Short-Term Markets: Analyse trends to support energy management; prepare exposure reports; present monthly updates to risk forums. Global power markets reporting: support Group Chief Commercial Officer with group level analysis and reporting activity with matrix reporting line
Why you’ll make a great member of the team Experience & Knowledge Required
A understanding and interest in European power markets. This includes knowledge of supply-demand dynamics, energy trading, and the role of various market participants. Familiarity with the methods and structures used for pricing energy commodities in different regions. Experience in quantitative modeling is a plus Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI. Python or other coding skills preferred Experience in energy/renewables/solar PV or in a commodities trading environment preferred.

Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Python and Word skills Numerical and analytical skills, and attention to detail Strong commercial acumen and communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to build strong relationships with numerous stakeholders throughout the company Ability to handle complex and highly ambiguous scopes of work Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
