Job Description: Senior Analyst - Structured Finance
The Senior Analyst takes part in and leads, in complete or partial autonomy, credit rating committees for the assignment and, occasionally, monitoring of structured finance ratings. In this context, the jobholder supports the analysis of complex structured finance instruments and analyses simple / standard structured finance transactions. Moreover, the Senior Analyst contributes to the development and maintenance of analytical tools and occasionally of credit rating methodologies, writes insightful credit research related to the structured finance sector and takes part in operational review visits. This position offers a long-term career path for high-performing analysts with opportunities to enhance analytical skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyses and occasionally monitors, as a lead analyst, simple / standard structured finance transactions to assign and maintain credit ratings on structured finance instruments.
- Understands and contributes to the development of Scope’s analytical capabilities and methodologies.
- Supports the development of existing and new analytical tools, contributes to the validation or testing of methodologies.
- Communicates and occasionally collaborates with various internal and external parties in the context of analysis and ratings.
- Provides guidance to interns.
- Produces research and analytical comments on a timely basis.
Professional & Personal Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in the structured finance sector or closely related sectors.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, banking, economics, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent qualification.
- Good analytical skills either qualitative or quantitative or both, with an adequate understanding of financial market and credit.
- Knowledge of one or more structured finance industry segments or geographical markets, including familiarity with either one or all of the following areas: asset, counterparty and structural analysis, as well as cash flow modelling and documentation review.
- Ability to understand and identify key rating factors.
- Sound understanding and proficiency in the use of quantitative tools specific to the analysis of structured finance transactions.
- Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills.
- Multi-cultural, collaborative, self-starter, versatile, inquisitive and detail-oriented personality.
- Accountable and dynamic with the ability to work in full autonomy and multi-task.
- Independent thinker with strong problem-solving, written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in at least a major language in addition to English.

Compensation Range
The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority). Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.
