Role Purpose

The Senior Analyst joins our Real Estate team, playing a pivotal role in the origination, underwriting, monitoring, reporting, and portfolio management of real estate investments across funds, co-investments, and direct assets. This position requires elevated ownership, including:

  • Meaningful contributions to investment workstreams
  • Developing independent investment views
  • Participating in key investment decision-making processes

This Senior Analyst will also act as a bridge between junior and senior team members, ensuring:

  • Delivering portfolio outcomes
  • Strengthening investment processes
  • Further establishing the company’s real estate platform

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Reporting

  • Support portfolio construction and ongoing asset class management through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Monitor performance, risk exposures, and cash flows, providing timely insights and escalating critical issues.
  • Contribute to asset class reviews, quarterly reporting, and client materials, incorporating independent analysis and commentary.
    • Draft meeting notes, Board pack comments, and conference minutes as needed.

Investment Underwriting & Monitoring

  • Support and contribute to the underwriting and monitoring of investments across funds, co-investments, and direct assets, including:
    • Prep for and participating in manager meetings.
    • Developing independent views and recommendations for internal committees and forums.
  • Lead key due diligence streams:
    • financial, commercial, legal, and ESG.
    • Coordinate collaboration among internal stakeholders (Legal, Risk, ODD).
  • Foster deep understanding of:
    • Fund structures
    • Partnership agreements
    • Key commercial terms to assess LPPI implications.

Data, Systems & Process Management

  • Lead data management and analysis, emphasising quality and integrity.
  • Ensure adherence to LPPI processes and governance across systems and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, tools, and reporting outputs for efficiency and scalability.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Build and nurture relationships with:
    • External managers, advisors
    • Internal stakeholders
  • Represent LPPI as a credible, professional figure in interactions.
  • Lead monitoring and due diligence discussions with fund managers.
  • Produce high-quality written outputs such as:
    • Investment papers
    • Monitoring/client reports
    • Committee materials

Team Contribution

  • Provide daily support to senior team members.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on technical and professional growth.
  • Foster a positive team culture, effective workload management, and priortise key deliverables.

Standard Responsibilities

Requirements for the Role

Experience

  • Prior experience in real estate investments, private markets, or related fields, with:
    • Exposure to underwriting, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Evaluating fund managers and/or direct investments within an institutional framework (preferred).
    • Leading workstreams or taking ownership of key deliverables.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in:
    • Real Estate
    • Finance
    • Economics
    • Mathematics
    • Related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, CFA, CAIA) are highly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of:
    • Real estate markets
    • Investment strategies
    • Fund structures
  • Awareness of private market trends, coupled with practical due diligence experience from origination to portfolio management.
  • Detail-oriented, with robust report writing skills:
    • Producing clear, structured, and concise reports.

Core Competencies

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to:
    • Maintain a high personal workload across multiple mandates/portfolios with varying deadlines.
    • Operate autonomously while collaborating within a team.
