Senior Analyst, Revenue Analytics
About the Role Trimble's Transportation & Logistics (T&L) division is looking for a highly motivated and analytical Senior Analyst, Revenue Analytics to join our growing Revenue Operations team. This role is a critical contributor to our function, responsible for providing the data-driven insights that fuel our revenue growth and strategic decision-making. You will be the primary engine for turning raw sales and operational data into clear, actionable reports and analyses. Working closely with the Sr. Manager, Sales Intelligence and the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you will focus on developing and maintaining the analytical infrastructure that tracks, measures, and forecasts our sales performance. This role is perfect for a self-starter who excels at digging deep into data and translating findings into business strategies. Key Responsibilities Sales Performance Reporting & Analysis Metric Development: Own the creation, maintenance, and distribution of key sales performance reports and dashboards that track KPIs, including sales cycles, conversion rates, bookings, and churn/retention. Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc and recurring deep-dive analyses into sales performance at the individual, team, and segment level to identify trends, root causes, and areas for strategic improvement. Monthly Review: Conduct monthly KPI review and 'plan vs. actuals' variance analysis to provide comprehensive performance summaries to leadership. Data Integrity and Management Data Expertise: Be the go-to expert for sales data within our CRM (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, etc.) and other supporting business systems. Data Quality Assurance: Proactively monitor and audit data integrity across various systems, working with cross-functional teams to resolve inconsistencies and ensure reliable reporting. Metric Standardization: Standardize KPI dictionary and establish a single source of truth for metrics to ensure data consistency and reliability across the T&L segment. ETL Support: Assist the Sr. Manager with data consolidation efforts, helping to prepare and transform data from disparate sources for unified analysis and modeling. Forecasting and Strategic Support Forecasting & Risk Analysis: Support the Sr. Manager by compiling, validating, and analyzing the data required for the division’s strategic sales forecasting models. Deliver weekly forecast analytics complete with risk commentary and variance bridges explaining deviations from plan. Pipeline Health Analysis: Analyze the health and velocity of the sales pipeline, providing regular reports on stage-to-stage conversion and activity effectiveness to pinpoint bottlenecks. Presentation Support: Prepare and visualize data for executive-level presentations, translating complex analytical findings into clear, compelling slides and narratives for key stakeholders. Strategic Alignment & Operational Excellence Cross-Divisional Consistency: Enforce KPI consistency across all T&L divisions to enable standardized performance comparisons and executive-level reporting. Unified Reporting Implementation: Actively support the unified reporting and analytics implementation across the segment, partnering with other teams to drive adoption and best practices for common data consumption. Executive Insights: Respond to high-priority ad-hoc executive requests with timely, insightful analysis within a 48-hour turnaround time. What We're Looking For Professional Experience & Skills Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in a highly analytical role such as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Sales Analyst, preferably supporting a B2B sales organization. Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation is required. Data Visualization: Hands-on experience building dynamic dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as AWS Quicksight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Data Modeling: Foundational understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling principles. CRM Expertise: Strong working knowledge of a major CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics) and how to extract data from it. Revenue Intelligence (RI) Platforms: Hands-on experience extracting, modeling, and analyzing data from a Revenue Intelligence platform (e.g., Gong, Chorus, Clari) is required.
