What you’ll do
We’re looking for a high-impact Senior Analyst to work in the centralised MI & Analytics team. You will analyse data, create insightful reports and contribute to customer acquisition and management strategies across both cards and loans products.
An integral team member, you will support in driving insight, change, growth objectives and improve customer outcomes. You will need to be experienced building reports, pulling out important information and using that to tell a story, gain influence and inform strategy.
Key responsibilities and objectives
- Work in a newly formed centralised MI & Analytics team, providing sharp insight, commercial recommendations and data-driven decision support.
- Take strategic direction and autonomously execute the strategies to develop customer engagement, existing customer management, new card acquisition and viral adoption of our mobile apps.
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve business performance.
- Analyse data to anticipate and identify competitor actions, anticipate industry trends and patterns that can be used to inform strategy.
- Build reports that provide actionable insight and plans.
- Support the development of business cases, forecasts, optimisation strategies and insight frameworks to fuel sustainable, compliant growth.
- Work closely with our IT team to execute card and loan strategies, be the point of contact on IT projects/BAU work and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Find ways to improve processes.
- Identify opportunities to introduce innovative data analysis techniques or tools to enhance team performance.

What you need
- A minimum of three years experience working in an analytics function in a UK regulated financial services firm with a strong understanding of the controls, governance and customer-outcome expectations that come with it.
- Experienced user of python and SQL, with the ability to interrogate large, complex datasets and build reproducible, reliable analytical outputs.
- Advanced level Excel, including modelling, automation and data manipulation.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect customer insight, marketing performance and business strategy.
- An aptitude for problem solving: getting to the bottom of a particular problem, breaking it apart and understanding it, before designing, proposing and implementing a solution.
- Proactive, flexible and collaborative, but with the ability to operate independently and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with marketing data, attribution, campaign performance, or growth strategies is a strong advantage, but not essential.
