The Role: TMT Senior Analyst

The GlobalData Technology Team is looking for a TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecoms) Senior Analyst to provide actionable insights for their global clients, supporting informed business decisions. This full-time, Central London-based position is ideal for a recent graduate with strong quantitative skills interested in a career in TMT.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and update market-sizing reports and forecasts across the TMT sector (mobile, fixed broadband, pay TV, and entertainment).
  • Conduct investigative, forecasting, and both secondary and primary research (interviews, surveys, and expert engagements).
    • Use phone interviews and surveys with KOLs, industry experts, and tech specialists globally.
  • Analyze TMT market segments (mobile, fixed broadband, and entertainment) and develop strategic forecasts.
  • Contribute to the scope and methodology of high-quality market analysis deliverables.
  • Author research reports and thought leadership articles on current market trends.
  • Ensure well-written, concise, and timely content delivery.
  • Engage clients, represent GlobalData at meetings, conferences, and media interactions.
  • Address ad hoc client inquiries.
  • Support the TMT syndicated research platform’s development.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in business, finance, strategy, or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with number-heavy data analysis supported by Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new concepts.

Preferred (Not Mandatory but a Plus):

  • Prior work or research experience in technology/telecom sectors.
  • Non-essential but advantageous: multilingual proficiency.
