The Role: TMT (Technology, Media & Telecoms) Senior Analyst

GlobalData’s Technology team is seeking a TMT Senior Analyst to deliver actionable insights to our global clients, enabling them to make data-driven business decisions.

Location: Our London central office Opportunity: Ideal for a recent graduate with strong quantitative skills looking to launch a career in the TMT sector.

As part of this full-time position, you will produce and update:

  • Market-sizing reports & forecasts covering the entire TMT landscape (mobile, fixed broadband, pay TV, and digital entertainment).
  • Insight reports highlighting cutting-edge trends and opportunities.

The role combines workspace research (secondary data, phone interviews, surveys) with fieldwork to engage with KOLs, industry experts, and top-tier technical leaders globally.


What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate & forecast key TMT market segments (mobile, fixed broadband, pay TV, and digital entertainment).
  • Conduct strategic market analyses with a forward-thinking perspective.
  • Contribute to high-impact TMT research deliverables, shaping their direction.
  • Author comprehensive market research reports and briefings, ensuring clarity, precision, and timeliness.
  • Conduct secondary research to stay updated on industry trends and drivers.
  • Represent GlobalData at client presentations, conferences, and media interactions.
  • Support the TMT syndicated research platform’s development and engage directly with clients to address ad-hoc queries.

What We’re Looking for

  • A relevant degree (business, finance, strategy, economics, or equivalent) required.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Previous experience/research in TMT, telecoms, or IT preferred (but not essential).
  • Comfort with data handling, quantitative analysis, and complex spreadsheets.
  • A fast learner with the ability to absorb and apply new ideas quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Additional advantage: Proficiency in other languages or sectors
