Senior Analytical Development Chemist

Senior Analytical Chemist – CILOPS (Contractor) - Almac Sciences

Location: Craigavon, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

About the Role

Almac is seeking experienced Senior Analytical Chemists to join our full-time, laboratory-based team at our global headquarters in Craigavon, Northern Ireland.

This hands-on position will focus on analytical method development for API manufacturing, including small molecules and peptides. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, optimising, and validating HPLC/UHPLC/GC methods
  • Conducting degradation studies
  • Generating GMP-compliant, robust data from laboratory work
  • Collaborating closely with Process Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support project progression and delivery

Essential Candidate Criteria

  • A degree-level qualification in Analytical or Chemistry-related disciplines, or equivalent experience*
  • Prior relevant laboratory experience
  • Proficiency in multiple laboratory techniques with strong analytical troubleshooting ability
  • Consideration may be given to a higher-level qualification in a relevant discipline combined with significant industry experience, in lieu of a degree
