About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our client's vibrant Mobile team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-traffic Android applications that serve over 20 million users monthly across the UK. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing innovative features, enhancing app performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience. This position is based in London or Manchester, with a hybrid work model requiring two days per week in the office. The role offers a competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £90,000, dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

- Strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- A thorough understanding of Android architecture components
- Familiarity with modern development practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain new features for Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, ensuring a high standard of quality and performance.
- Take ownership of technical decisions and contribute to shaping the future direction of the Android platform within the organization.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Implement modern engineering practices, including TDD and CI/CD pipelines, to streamline the development process and improve code quality.
- Collaborate closely with designers to create polished, user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
- Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team meetings to ensure alignment and timely delivery of features.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions, including AI tools, to optimize development workflows.
