Position: Senior Android Engineer
Department: Product & Technology
Reports to: Technology Manager
Location: London, 3 days a week in office
The Role
As a Senior Android Engineer, you won’t just write code; you will design and implement robust architectural patterns that impact millions of daily active users. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and Backend Teams to build intuitive, high-performance features.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and maintainable features using modern Android technologies.
- Architecture & Quality: Drive best practices in mobile architecture (MVVM/ Clean Architecture). Maintain exceptionally high code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor, profile, and optimize app performance, ensuring minimal battery usage, fast startup times, and smooth UI rendering.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical authority within the team. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, foster a culture of knowledge sharing, and contribute to standardizing our engineering processes.
- Collaboration: Work across functional boundaries with design, product, and platform teams to translate user needs into technical realities.

Your Profile & Experience
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the Android ecosystem, stays ahead of industry trends, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proven Experience: Professional Android development experience, with a proven track record of shipping high-quality apps to the Google Play Store.
- Language Mastery: Deep knowledge of Kotlin and a solid understanding of Android architecture. Use of Dependency Injection, experience using JetPack compose etc
- Testing: Strong belief in automated testing—proficient with Unit testing
- Tooling & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git, Gradle, and setting up automated CI/CD pipelines ( GitHub Actions).
