Senior Animator Position
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Animator based in United Kingdom.
Join a creative studio environment where your animation expertise will help shape engaging and visually memorable gaming experiences. In this role, you will create high-quality animations that define the visual identity of interactive products and bring characters, symbols, interfaces, and effects to life. Working closely with artists, designers, and developers, you will influence creative direction from concept development through to final production. You will combine artistic creativity with technical knowledge to deliver polished assets that enhance player engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced animator who enjoys storytelling, innovation, and contributing to the evolution of visual experiences in a collaborative team.
Accountabilities
- Create high-quality animations across a variety of game elements, including characters, symbols, environments, UI components, and visual effects.
- Manage the complete animation workflow from early concepts and style exploration through to final production-ready assets.
- Deliver animation projects on schedule while maintaining strong creative standards across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
- Collaborate with creative leads and production teams to define and maintain a consistent animation style aligned with the overall artistic vision.
- Work closely with artists and developers to integrate animations into game engines, ensuring assets meet technical requirements and production standards.
- Communicate creative concepts, progress updates, and animation decisions clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and guidance to junior and mid-level animators while contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve animation workflows, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and creative output.
- Stay informed about animation trends, emerging techniques, and industry best practices to help elevate the team’s capabilities.

Requirements
- Proven professional experience as an animator or artist within the games, entertainment, or interactive media industry, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating creative quality and technical range.
- Proficiency with industry-standard animation and design tools such as Adobe Animate, Spine, After Effects, Photoshop, or equivalent software.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, visual storytelling, and motion design across 2D and/or 3D environments.
- Experience creating character animations, symbol animations, background elements, UI motion, and special effects.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary studio environment.
- Creative mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects.
- Passion for games and interactive experiences, with an understanding of how animation contributes to player engagement.
- Experience in slot games, casino products, mentoring artists, or integrating assets into game engines is considered an advantage.
