Senior Appian Development Consultant

Why Valtech?

We’re the experience innovation company - a trusted partner to the world’s most recognised brands. To our people we offer growth opportunities, a values-driven culture, international careers and the chance to shape the future of experience.

The opportunity

At Valtech, you’ll find an environment designed for continuous learning, meaningful impact, and professional growth. Whether you're pioneering new digital solutions, challenging conventional thinking or building the next generation of customer experiences, your work will help transform industries.

The Role:

You'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams of strategists, architects, engineers, analysts, designers and consultants, helping enterprise organisations modernise business operations through low-code technology, workflow automation and intelligent digital solutions.

Our capability spans the full transformation lifecycle; from discovery and solution design through to implementation, optimisation and continuous improvement. We work across sectors including financial services, retail, healthcare, automotive, media and the public sector, delivering enterprise platforms that simplify complex business processes and create measurable business value.

As a Senior Appian Consultant, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable Appian solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate manual processes and enable organisations to respond faster to changing business needs.

This is a hands-on consulting role requiring strong technical expertise, client engagement skills and the ability to translate business requirements into robust enterprise applications.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You are a hands-on Appian specialist who enjoys solving complex business challenges through modern low-code technology. You combine strong technical capability with a consulting mindset and enjoy working closely with clients to understand problems before designing scalable solutions.
  • You will lead the design, configuration and development of enterprise Appian applications, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned to Appian best practices. You'll contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle, from technical design and sprint planning through to testing, deployment and production support.
  • Working collaboratively with architects, product managers, business analysts and engineering teams, you'll help shape technical solutions that balance business requirements with implementation practicality.
  • You'll be comfortable leading technical discussions with clients, providing guidance on solution design, integration approaches and delivery best practice while mentoring junior developers and helping elevate engineering quality across delivery teams.
  • You'll actively contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies, supporting backlog refinement, estimation, sprint demonstrations and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play an important role in maintaining delivery quality through technical reviews, unit testing, deployment management and performance optimisation.
  • As technology continues to evolve, you'll remain curious and committed to continuous learning; embracing new Appian capabilities and identifying opportunities to improve delivery through automation, reusable components and emerging AI capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
