Senior Application Consultant

About The Job You’re Considering

Are you ready to take a strategic leadership role on one of the largest SAP implementations globally? Do you want to shape solutions that underpin critical UK infrastructure while driving innovation and transformation?

Our SAP Packaged Based Solutions Practice delivers and drives the evolution of the SAP platform for one of our public sector clients, the most extensive deployment of its kind worldwide. As we continue to grow, we are seeking senior leaders who combine strong client engagement skills with functional expertise to lead complex programmes and inspire high-performing teams. You will shape solutions at the forefront of public-sector technology, influencing outcomes that impact millions of citizens, while working in a collaborative environment that invests in your development and leadership journey.

Hybrid working: The places you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work from home 100% of the time.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Take ownership of complex deliveries, leading teams and shaping solutions that drive transformation across our client’s SAP platform.
  • Work with senior clients, delivery teams, and architects to shape solutions, guide delivery, and ensure change lands safely in a highly regulated environment.
  • Span the full lifecycle, from early design and mobilisation through to implementation and transition into live service, with a clear focus on quality, governance and measurable outcomes.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, from shaping requirements and design through build, test, deployment, and handover.
  • Run client workshops and governance forums, turning complex business and operational needs into clear, templated solutions.
  • Provide delivery oversight and solution governance, ensuring designs are compliant, supportable, and aligned to agreed standards.
  • Ensure quality and proactively manage risks, mitigating delivery challenges and supporting a smooth transition to live services.
  • Build strong client relationships through credible interactions.
  • Develop and support consultants, strengthening the overall capability of the group.
  • Contribute to broader strategic thinking, advising on roadmap priorities, service improvement opportunities, and transformation choices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
