THE POSITION
We are seeking a Senior Applications Developer to maintain, enhance, and integrate our internal systems, including CRM, HRMS, Accounting, Data Warehouse, and custom-built applications. The Senior Applications Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining internal software systems that are critical to our global operations. The role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions.
Whether you’re looking to step up into your next level of responsibility, develop your technical skills, gain more exposure to stakeholder-facing work, or broaden your project portfolio, this role offers significant scope for growth. We understand that career journeys aren’t always linear, this opportunity may equally suit someone seeking a sideways move into a new team, discipline, or environment where they can make a real difference and apply existing expertise in a fresh context. At TNEI, you’ll be supported to shape a career pathway that fits your goals while contributing to high impact projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Design, code, customize, and test software solutions for CRM, HRMS, Project Management, Accounting, and other internal systems using modern programming languages and frameworks, ensuring they meet functional and technical requirements.
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, end-users, and IT teams to gather requirements, define enhancements, and deliver reliable, user-friendly applications across global offices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, monitor performance, implement updates, and maintain security standards for applications and web server environments (PHP, PHP-FPM, NGINX).
- Use tools such as GitHub and GitLab to manage source code, deployments, and collaboration, while documenting code changes, configurations, and technical processes for continuity and knowledge sharing.
- Provide end-user training, support adoption of system functionalities, and mentor junior IT staff, promoting best practices and fostering a collaborative development environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
