Senior Application QA (Appian)

🌟 About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Application QA to join our Quality Engineering team supporting a leading UK Financial Services client.
This is a hands-on role focused on manual testing, automation, Appian applications, and CI/CD. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software throughout the SDLC.
💼 Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual test cases across Functional, Integration, System, End-to-End, Regression, UAT, and Exploratory testing.
- Test Appian applications, business workflows, and integrations.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium and Cucumber (BDD).
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, defect management, release validation, and production support.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and drive continuous quality improvements.

Requirements:
- Hands-on experience testing Appian applications.
- Experience with the Appian Test Framework.
- 5+ years of Software Testing or Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong manual testing experience across enterprise applications.
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), and API testing.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.

⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience in Financial Services.
- SQL, JMeter, Azure/AWS.
- Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
- ISTQB certification.
- Automation experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript.
⚠️ Hands-on Appian testing experience and experience with the Appian Test Framework are mandatory for this role.
