Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to join our Global Digital Solutions (GDS) Service Operations team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical support and maintenance of critical document imaging and storage platforms, including Kofax Capture, Globalscape, and CTERA. You will act as a key technical lead in a high-volume, enterprise environment, ensuring that customer commitments and service level agreements (SLAs) are met through robust problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

In this role, you will:

  • Responsibility 1: System Support & Maintenance – Own, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to Kofax software and proprietary web applications to ensure constant solution availability and high performance.
  • Responsibility 2: Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with GDS Implementation, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to deliver customer-centric solutions and drive improvements in service operations.
  • Responsibility 3: Compliance & Security – Ensure strict adherence to information security standards and organizational policies, particularly regarding the handling of sensitive customer data.
  • Responsibility 4: Process Optimization – Develop and improve standard processes and controls to monitor productivity and quality based on industry best practices.
  • Responsibility 5: Operational Readiness – Perform daily maintenance, monitor performance parameters, and provide out-of-hours support on a rotation basis to maintain 24/7 reliability.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • SC Requirements: Must be a UK resident (minimum 5 years) eligible to obtain an SC security check.
  • Experience: Proven experience in Application Support or Systems Engineering within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2022), SQL Databases (MSSQL/PostgreSQL), Linux (CentOS), IIS, and Active Directory.
  • Specialized Skills: Proven ability to deploy and troubleshoot Kofax Batch classes and custom modules; experience with SFTP and storage systems, as CTERA is highly preferred.
  • Innovation: Highly desirable experience using AI tools (generative AI or automation platforms) to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
  • Education/Certification: A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or 5+ years of equivalent industry experience; Microsoft Certified Professional or ITIL v3/v4 certifications are a plus.
