Senior Architect / Associate / Associate Director – Industrial & Logistics

Location: London, Birmingham or Leicester

Salary: £50,000–£75,000, depending on level and experience

Working Pattern: Full-time | Hybrid working after probation

An established AJ100 multidisciplinary design practice is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architect, Associate or Associate Director to head up and develop its Industrial & Logistics sector.

The practice works across architecture, interiors, masterplanning, project management, quantity surveying, urban design and visualisation, with an established portfolio spanning residential, commercial, education, leisure, retail and healthcare.

With strong client relationships within the Industrial & Logistics sector and a pipeline of potential opportunities, they are now looking for someone who can combine strong sector knowledge with project delivery, client engagement and business development.

The Role

Initially, The Position Will Combine

  • Hands-on project delivery
  • Client engagement and business development
  • Leading Industrial & Logistics projects across RIBA Stages 0–6
  • Producing and overseeing technical, tender and construction information
  • Coordinating consultants, clients and wider project teams
  • Supporting bids, presentations and new sector opportunities

As The Workload Develops, The Role Will Grow Into

  • Building and leading a dedicated Industrial & Logistics team
  • Managing project resources and delivery standards
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level staff
  • Helping shape the wider direction of the sector within the practice

About You

The practice is open to candidates from experienced Senior Architect through to Associate Director level, provided you can demonstrate:

  • ARB registration
  • Strong Industrial & Logistics sector experience
  • Experience acting as Lead Designer on major projects
  • Delivery experience across RIBA Stages 0–6
  • Strong technical knowledge, including Building Regulations and British Standards
  • Experience producing tender and construction packages
  • Experience writing or reviewing NBS specifications
  • Confidence working with clients and presenting complex information clearly
  • Strong leadership, organisation and project management skills
  • Revit experience, or the ability to become proficient quickly

Business development experience would be advantageous, particularly for candidates applying at Associate or Associate Director level.
