Senior Project Designer
A globally recognised hospitality design practice is looking for a Senior Project Designer to join its London studio. You would be joining an internationally acclaimed team responsible for designing some of the world's most prestigious hotels, resorts and mixed-use destinations. This is a senior design leadership position where you would take ownership of projects from the earliest concept stages, establishing the architectural vision, leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring design excellence is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
This role would suit an experienced hospitality architect who is equally comfortable developing a hotel from a blank sheet of paper as they are leading teams, presenting to demanding clients and maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout design development. This role offers a clear career pathway and flexible working.
Job Description
- Lead the architectural design of luxury hospitality projects from concept through design development
- Establish the overall design vision, architectural narrative and creative direction for hotel and resort developments
- Manage and inspire multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring design intent is carried consistently throughout each stage of the project
- Oversee the production and coordination of design documentation, maintaining exceptional quality assurance and quality control standards across all project deliverables
- Monitor project progress, ensuring design quality, programme and commercial objectives remain aligned
- Develop innovative architectural solutions that respond to client aspirations, operational requirements and project constraints
- Work closely with Project Managers and senior leadership to successfully deliver complex international hospitality projects
- Coordinate consultants and wider design teams to ensure a fully integrated design approach
- Present design concepts confidently to clients and stakeholders, leading workshops and design reviews
- Mentor architects and designers, providing ongoing technical and creative guidance while fostering a collaborative team environment
- Support business development, design competitions and client presentations where required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
