Senior Architect | Design-led practice | £50,000 - £55,000
Are you working in a large studio and feeling overlooked? Love a studio that focuses on architecture for good? Social Impact and sustainability! Would you love to run high-quality, interesting, design-led projects? Still love rolling up your sleeves and being an architect, not just a manager?
We have an exciting opportunity to join a small/medium sized, profitable, design-led practice with a real focus on doing architecture for greater good. Every project contributes to the betterment of the built environment and wider society.
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Architect (approximately 8–12 years post‑Part III) to take a hands‑on leadership role designing and delivering interesting design‑led projects across education, cultural, heritage, and specialist sectors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys running projects, leading small teams, and remaining actively involved in drawing and design.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
