Senior Architect - Residential
Senior Qualified Architects – Manchester Studio
We have multiple opportunities for talented Senior Qualified Architects with proven residential project experience to join our award-winning profession group in our Manchester studio. The successful candidate will be responsible for making key design decisions, driving high-quality concepts from inception through to completion.
Reporting to your Architect Director, you will collaborate and innovate in a team environment, taking ownership of concepts and leading their delivery. This includes mentoring the team and ensuring impeccable output. You will also lead cross-disciplinary collaboration with professionals inside and outside the practice, delivering highly coordinated solutions.

- Take leadership on design delivery, project meetings, and handover
- Reduce waste and drive efficiency through sustainable growth strategies

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine design concepts for residential projects
- Lead the BIM process and ensure high standards of technical accuracy
- Manage stakeholder engagement, including clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Deliver robust project management within tight deadlines
- Upskill and guide junior colleagues
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- ARB Part III qualified with post-qualification experience in residential design
- Proven track record in concept design, technical execution, and project implementation
- Portfolio demonstrating excellent design skills across a range of completed projects
Technical & Soft Skills
- Proficiency in Revit (BIM expertise preferred)
- Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, or SketchUp Pro (desirable)
- Strong briefing and client management skills
- Exceptional stakeholder communication, negotiation, and collaboration
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic teams

Requirements Continued
- Proficient in design software (e.g. Revit, InDesign)
- Comfortable working with BIM environments and multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
