About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Architect to join our talented and motivated team in the Birmingham Studio, stepping into an established role within our friendly and collaborative team.
As a Senior Architect, you will enjoy an interesting mix of responsibilities, including:
- Leading the design and delivery of building projects from concept through to completion
- Producing detailed architectural drawings by hand and using specialist BIM and CAD software
- Managing and guiding project teams to deliver architectural services to agreed deadlines
- Working within planning, environmental and budgetary constraints to shape viable project solutions
- Liaising with construction professionals to deliver complex and challenging schemes
- Leading coordination with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, QSs and technologists
- Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients
- Overseeing the submission of planning applications and liaising with Building Control and other statutory bodies
- Preparing and presenting reports, design proposals and key stage submissions
- Developing project briefs in collaboration with clients
- Adapting plans in response to changing circumstances and resolving design challenges
- Managing project workflow, resources and team delivery
- Undertaking site visits, attending client and consultant meetings and representing the practice professionally
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and ensuring ongoing professional development

About You
We are looking for candidates who possess the following experience and skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High levels of creativity and strong conceptual design capability
- Proven experience delivering projects using CAD and BIM
- Ability to plan resources and monitor project profitability
- Strong organisational, project management and planning skills
- Ability to work under pressure, balancing deadlines, budgets and multiple priorities
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain a strategic overview
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Leadership experience, including managing multidisciplinary project teams
- In depth knowledge of project delivery processes
- Understanding of environmental and social considerations within project design
