We're looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join our growing team based at Wellingore Hall. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, taking designs from concept through to completion while mentoring junior colleagues and helping deliver exceptional technical solutions.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Architectural Technician, you'll support the design and delivery of projects from planning through to construction, including:

  • Producing detailed drawings for building regulations applications and tender packages
  • Negotiating with contractors and other professionals
  • Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
  • Co-ordinating the work of contractors
  • Keeping within financial budgets and time deadlines
  • Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed time frame and according to specification
  • Solving problems that might occur during building
  • Carrying out defect inspections
  • Supporting and coordinating the work of junior members of the team
  • Reviewing and checking for errors in others’ work
  • Undertaking any other tasks within your capabilities as requested by your line manager.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in an architectural technician role, ideally at a senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
  • Ability to manage projects from design through to delivery.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in architectural technology or a related discipline.
