Job Title: Senior Architectural Technician/ Technologist

Location: London

Salary: GBP38,520+ DOE

About The Company

Join a forward-thinking multidisciplinary consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering technically complex residential projects across the UK. Based in the London studio, this role offers the opportunity to take the lead on the technical delivery of Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs) and external wall remediation schemes, working alongside experienced Architects and consultants on projects from planning through to construction. It's an ideal opportunity for a technically driven professional looking to take ownership of project delivery while mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative, quality-focused environment.

Daily Duties

  • Lead the production and coordination of technical drawing packages using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Deliver detailed technical information across all RIBA work stages.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Building Safety requirements.
  • Coordinate architectural information with consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers.
  • Prepare specifications, schedules and documentation for planning, tender and construction.
  • Attend site visits, design meetings and technical reviews.
  • Support Building Regulations submissions and resolve technical queries.
  • Maintain BIM standards, document control and drawing revision procedures.
  • Identify technical risks, buildability issues and coordination challenges.
  • Mentor and support junior Technicians and Technologists.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in technical delivery and studio standards.

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
  • CIAT accreditation desirable.
  • Strong experience delivering residential projects within a UK architectural or multidisciplinary practice.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Building Safety legislation, CDM and construction detailing.
  • Experience working on Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs) and external wall remediation projects is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Revit and AutoCAD skills.
  • Strong understanding of BIM processes and technical coordination.
  • Experience managing technical drawing packages through multiple RIBA work stages.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and mentoring skills.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented professional with a collaborative approach to project delivery.
