About Scene

Scene is a growing architectural practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments across the UK.

Whilst residential development remains a core part of our portfolio, we are increasingly working directly with contractors, developers and delivery teams on complex mixed-use schemes incorporating residential, retail, commercial and community uses. As our workload continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced technical professional to strengthen our technical team and play a key role in the future development of the practice.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than simply deliver projects. We are looking for an ambitious, proactive individual who can add real value to our team, help shape our technical standards, mentor colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

The Role

We are seeking either:

  • A Senior Architect with strong technical and delivery experience; or
  • A Senior Architectural Technologist with extensive project leadership experience.

The successful candidate will take ownership of projects through technical design, tender and construction stages, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider design team.

You will play a leading role in ensuring projects are coordinated, buildable, compliant and delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and delivery of residential and mixed-use developments.
  • Produce and oversee high-quality tender and construction information.
  • Develop robust and coordinated construction detailing.
  • Manage project programmes, deliverables and technical outputs.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Liaise directly with clients, contractors and developers.
  • Resolve complex technical and construction issues.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Contribute to practice standards, quality assurance and technical development.
  • Assist directors with project planning, resource management and project delivery strategies.
  • Help drive continuous improvement across the technical team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
