Who are we looking for?
- Lead the development of the A.I rapid development Software Delivery Lifecycle, enabling the successful delivery of software which meets defined customer requirements, providing expert A.I advice and collaborating with Digital Delivery colleagues, end¿users and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of delivered tools and reports.
- Lead and organise customer meetings to establish design goals, enabling the identification of key requirements and the rapid delivery of digital products. Translate complex digital A.I concepts for nontechnical stakeholders, enabling effective delivery of requirements.
- Lead the design, development and implementation of AI¿enabled solutions for Digital Delivery customers, guiding accurate validation and supporting ongoing maintenance to enable expedited business outcomes.
- Lead on developing the interactions with the wider Digital & Data function to embed AI solutions correctly, whilst influencing key technological decision.
- Manage the provision of technical support and expertise for Network Rail's A.I Solutions, investigating and documenting fixes within the system to minimise non-availability of solutions to customers.
- Mentor & lead A.I Specialists on best practice A.I development techniques, to support the maturity and capabilities within the Digital & Data function. Define and design A.I based solutions compliant with Network Rail strategic guidelines, adhering to strategic governance frameworks.
- Direct and utilise A.I solutions for the development of machine learning, A.I modelling and algorithm expansion, to help manage complex concepts within the Digital Delivery Function. Select the appropriate algorithm, frameworks and tools for increased performance and scalability within the Digital & Data function.
- Design, develop and implement A.I based solutions for the business, to include the building of prototypes and mock-ups of new solutions.
- Identify, plan and deliver any A.I based upgrades that will have a direct impact on the operation of infrastructure, so that that deployed applications continue to function as designed following the successful completion of any upgrade activity.
- Manage governance arrangements for A.I. Solutions developed by the team so that they are transparent, auditable and align with regulations, mitigating any risks such as bias or security vulnerabilities across the digital & data function.

- Degree in Computer Science or similar/equivalent relevant experience.
- Extensive commercial experience designing and developing low-code solutions with a solid understanding and experience of low-code solutions and platforms
- Solid development experience using Office 365 Forms and Microsoft Power Apps.
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (Cascading Style Sheets).
- Strong technical knowledge of database design.
- Strong understanding of industry standard A.I frameworks and libraries.
- Experience of accessing data programmatically and knowledge of data structures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing a small team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, having the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to adapt and stay on top of emerging low code technologies and trends.
